It's like they're being ridden by the late Rick James on a flying unicorn whilst smoking a crack pipe onto the outreaches of quantum space.  And why yes, that is a Euphemism for a good time. I have a soft spot for 80s synth. To reject such classic noise is like rejecting horribly cheesy 70s pornos. You can't, no matter how hairy the situation is.
